1. Acceptance of these terms
propertytaxcompass.com.au (the site) is operated by Peter Northey (ABN 52 377 609 885), a sole trader trading as Numinbah Holdings and Property Tax Compass. By using the site or purchasing a product through it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the site.
2. Nature of the site
The site publishes general information and calculators about Australian property tax topics, including changes made by the Treasury Laws Amendment (Tax Reform No. 1) Act 2026 and related legislation, and state land tax rules. This information is general in nature. It does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs, and it is not tax, legal, accounting or financial product advice. Property Tax Compass is not a registered tax agent, licensed financial adviser, credit licensee or law firm.
Calculator results are estimates based on the assumptions stated on each calculator and the figures you enter. They should not be relied on as a prediction of your actual tax position. You should obtain advice from a registered tax agent or an appropriately licensed adviser before making any decision.
3. Digital products
From time to time the site may offer digital products for purchase, such as downloadable guides, worked examples or reports. Unless stated otherwise, a digital product is delivered electronically, generally by immediate download or by email.
When you purchase a digital product, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own reference. You may not resell, redistribute, republish, sublicense or share a digital product, in whole or in part, without our prior written permission.
Our refund practices for digital products are set out in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
4. Payment
Prices for any paid product are shown in Australian dollars at the time of purchase. GST is not currently charged. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card details. Prices and product availability may change at any time and without notice, but a change will not affect an order you have already paid for.
5. Intellectual property
The text, calculators, design and other content on this site, and any digital product supplied through it, are owned by or licensed to Peter Northey and are protected by copyright. Other than for your own personal, non-commercial reference, you may not copy, reproduce, republish, or distribute content from this site without our prior written permission.
6. Availability and changes
We may add, remove, modify or suspend any part of the site or any product at any time, including calculators, articles and pricing. We do not guarantee the site or any product will be available, uninterrupted or error free at all times.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peter Northey excludes all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, reliance on its content or calculators, or purchase of a digital product. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
8. Links to other websites
The site may link to third-party websites or mention third-party services. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at this page, with the date it was last updated shown above. Continued use of the site after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia.
